PowerBI allowing multiple reports with the same name in the same workspace
I am trying to replace an old report with an updated version. However, instead of replacing the old report, it is keeping both versions of the report on the service. Is there a way to make it replace the old report instead of creating a duplicate? (The names are identical, no trailing space or different characters etc.)
No solution was proposed on this forum but the issue has been resolved.

Names don't matter - the defining factor is the ID. You will find that your reports may have the same name but they have different IDs.

I see you have the reports sourcing data from different semantic models. I believe internally Fabric uses the semantic model ID to help identify a report. Do you get the same behaviour when you are uploading a report on the same semantic model?
In this case, I'd recommend just deleting the old report.
