PowerBI Useage Metrics - Report Views greatly exaggerated?

I built a small version of the Useage Metrics bit supplied by the PowerBI Service.
I read the FAQ provided.
I understand what a "Report Open" / "Report View" is doing.

However, I have Opens/View counts that are running into the hundreds for each user, suggesting a user has opened the same report 300 times in a weed.  Upon asking a user directly how many times they open content in a week, they responded with "just a few"

Does anyone trust the Report View metric?  Is it bugged ?

    Hi BerryBIA

The Useage Metrics is not always accurate, for better metrics you need to build your own Audit Logs report using Power BI REST APIs

"The Useage Metrics" is not always accurate is a bit bizzare.
Are we saying - Dont use the Useage Metrics PBIX and instead ignore it and build custom Audit Logs?

this issue is not resolved, sorry

Was not me who is talking about discrepencies between Audit logs and Usage Metrics. The screenshot was coming from MSFT documentation.
