PowerBI Service visibility inquiries.

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I would like to inquire about PowerBI service, specifically; I would like to know about visibility to other users. As I understand, my dashboards can be shared with anyone I authorize, but there are some inconsistencies with data security when I take a look at the PowerBI site. Please note that I am currently using the free version of PowerBI.

My listed questions below:

1. By default, are all reports, dashboards and data files hidden and secured away from public audiences?

2. Is there a way to disable the ability to share dashboards/reports/etc to the public (Removal of that button) without removing the feature to share through email?

3. Are there any background processes which automatically share any sorts of information to the public?

Please let me know. I read the legal documentation, but I want confirmation from others, since there isn't asserted information pertaining to this.

Hi @Alexand3rBr,

1. By default, are all reports, dashboards and data files hidden and secured away from public audiences?

Yes.

2. Is there a way to disable the ability to share dashboards/reports/etc to the public (Removal of that button) without removing the feature to share through email?

No. As far as I know, we are not able to remove or disable the Share button.

3. Are there any background processes which automatically share any sorts of information to the public?

No. Power BI Service will not public user's own dashboards, reports or datasets automatically.
