PowerBI Service refresh visuals imported mode
- 2 years ago
Hi. PowerBi reports have a cache that won't let you make instantly refresh of data for an opened screen. However, when the dataset is direct query or streaming, you can turn a format page setting for "auto refresh". You can read details here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-automatic-page-refresh
If you are importing data, I don't think that setting is in there. The only way of showing visuals that automatically change is using Dashboards. The dashboards will change the data as soon as the data changes. Reports won't, unless you can turn that setting on.
I hope that helps,

It is possible to refresh the screen if data is refreshed (by powerautomate for example). It works when peoples roles of the workspace is/or higher then contributor. (so not viewer)
