PowerBI Service To Redshift Serverless EC2 On-Prem Gateway

Good Day,

With 2 (multi) region aws Redshift Serverless databases, 

I was initially going to set up Two EC2/On-Prem Gateways for Redshift to connect to PowerBI Services

But with Redshift Serverless do I still require an EC2 Instance for the On-Prem gateway, is there another option than configuring an EC2 / On-Prem?

Can the On-Prem Gateway also be serverless?
