Hello,
I have a dashboard that was built using the PowerBI Service and is extrapolating data from OneDrive for Business as the data source.
I have had no issues in the past refreshing the data set, but our company has recently switched our domain name. After this switch, it looks like the excel file which was being pulled from OneDrive is no longer refreshing.
I do not see the hazard sign near the refresh nor do I even get the dots saying the refresh has started, but I can see this error when I go to "refresh history":
I have already confirmed that when I pull in a brand new connection from OneDrive, it can refresh with no issue. So it looks like the problem resides with connections made pre our domain change.
Again, since our Dashboard was built with the PowerBI service, I do not believe we can "gut" out the data source and put in anew one or simply download the file. Does anyone know how we can fix this issue and get OneDrive to refresh the "old" files? Thanks
Hi @hussaintm
As far as I know there is no way to do this and update the file. You have to do it all again!
Hopefully you have used an App to deliver the reports which should then allow you to make the change and the users can go into the same app.
Hi Gilbert,
Is there no way to fix the error I am seeing without rebuilding the entire dashboard?
