PowerBI Report Server (Jan 2025) - Something went wrong
- 1 year ago
Hi rafaelslemos ,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the ongoing issue where users are unable to access the dashboards on the Report Server.According to the Microsoft Fabric Community, the original January 2025 version (1.22.9153.7886) introduced a bug that caused intermittent access issues, especially with user permissions and dashboard availability.
- Request you to Download and install the latestest updated build of Power BI Report Server – MAY 2025 from the official Microsoft Download Center.(Report Server - May 2025)
- Consider switching to the 64-bit version of Power BI RS Desktop if you're still using 32-bit.

The error is likely due to temporary resource exhaustion (CPU/RAM) on the server.
- Check Event Viewer and PBIRS logs at C:\Program Files\...\PBIRS\LogFiles
- Monitor server resources using Performance Monitor
- Use this guide to set up monitoring: Insight Quest PBIRS Monitoring
- Restart the PBIRS service if usage spikes often.
- Ensure the server has enough memory and CPU allocated.

Although it has decreased after a few adjustments in resources it is still happening. I am going thru some of the dashboards and decreasing the frequency of refreshes and stacking the refreshes in different times. I also have requested the server to be updated to the latest version, we are currently running the Jan 2025 version.
