PowerBI Integration with Sharepoint - issues

First of all, if you want to create a report based on a list the below option might be easier, with that approach you have a lot more options to edit and configure it to meet your requirements:

The Visualize the List option is aimed at quickly creating a report, without having to edit the report itself and worry about access and refreshes. That's why it is more limited in functionality.

6. No, I have seen instance where I clicked on the link of the report and the data didn't refresh. The docs are not clear on the specific schedule of the data refresh.
