PowerBI Integration with Corporate SharePoint

Hi, 

I am trying to add a PowerBI report to the Sharepoint site(On-Premise) that I have created for a particular team in my company.

The problem here is, the report keeps loading, and the report is never displayed.

I have used the link generated by clicking on "Embed in Sharepoint" to embed. 

Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

Hi @sorabhojha,

From this article, you can see it's not supported to use Embed in SharePoint Online feature in on-premise SharePoint. 

• The classic SharePoint Server is not supported with this web part.

To embed reports in SharePoint on-premise, you can try Publish to web feature or Power BI embedded.

Hi,

I don't see Publish to web in the options for my report.

The PowerBI Embedded is also not present in the plugins in SharePoint.

Please help in that regard.

Hi @sorabhojha,

Please contact your Power BI admin to see if he/she turns off the Publish to web feature. Also check if the report hits limitations: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-publish-to-web#limitations

Power BI embedded if not a add-in of the SharePoint on-premise, you can learn it from the link in my previous post. For any question about Power BI embedded, you can post a thread in Developer forum. 

The link generated from "Embed in Sharepoint Online" should be put in SharePoint online Power BI web part to render the report. For detail information, see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-embed-report-spo

Hi,

I also have another point to share.

I tried opening the link generated by clicking on "Embed in Sharepoint Online", but even that did not load the report.

This hints that the problem is not with Sharepoint, as I have not embedded it yet. The link generated by itself was not able to load the report.
