PowerBI Embedded problem with Custom Visuals running on R
We recently found this article https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/service-r-visuals where it explains that PowerBI Embedded Free users are not able to render visuals and only PowerBI with Pro or PPU or beeing in Premium capacity can render custom visuals with Python or R. Thank you for sharing this article. Yes, as mentioned in the documentation, rendering R and Python visuals in Power BI Embedded requires a Pro, PPU, or Premium capacity.
If you plan to use R visuals in Power BI Embedded, you may need to ensure the workspace is in Premium capacity or that users have the required licensing (Pro or PPU). As I suggested earlier, you may also consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further guidances.
