We have a scenario where we have a globally distributed application running in Azure. The application stores data in SQL databases located in datacenters in (for example) the US, Europe, Australia due to data sovereignty.
Now we want to use Power BI to build reports around these and in the end embedd them into our SaaS-application using Power BI Embedded. Because of data sovereignty the data is not allowed to leave the country or region.
How could this be accomplished in Power BI + Power BI Embedded? Do we need to deploy another Office 365-tenant in each and every region that we want to support?
Hi @PeterOrneholm,
From my point of view, you may need to deploy another Office 365-tenant in each and every region that you want to support in your scenario, as any data stored in Power BI itself will be stored in the location of the tenant.
In the meantime, I would suggest you create a support ticket or contact a Power BI expert for confirmation and to see if there are better solutions.
