Power bi service - Refresh dataset
Hi All,
I am getting an error while trying to refresh the data set manually. The enterprice has set up the gateway however it is still not working. Here is the error I am facing.
"Scheduled refresh has been disabled.
- Data source errorScheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh.

Anonymous - it could be the Data Gateway or the credentials on the Data Source. See the following instructions: Add or remove a gateway data source - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
The Data Gateway set up will determine if the Gateway or your credentials are passed-through. You may need to check the Data Gateway's user is included in the Data Source security permissions. Read access to all required objects.

Hi Anonymous - does your dataset contain more than one data source? For example, are you trying to pull data from an On-premise Database and Online source like SharePoint. You may find one of the following is happening:
- The credentials for the Online source is not configured in Power BI dataset, or
- The credentials for the Online source is not configured in the Gateway.
The latter will be relevant when you combine the On-premise and Online data sources within Power Query. If you load each separately into the Data Model, and then combine in DAX, the former could be the issue.
Anonymous Thank you for your response on this. There is one data source my .pbix linked with. It is reflecting the updated data on my reports however I am getting issue with the refresh. As par enterprise, they have set up the gateway however still showing same error. What do you think, is it the gateway issue as I am unable to see any gateway set up under ''Manage Gateways". Also under Dataset settings, Dataset credentials option is grade out and there is not Gateway listed so far.
