Power bi does not start

If Power BI does not start and displays the error "Something went wrong: Object reference not set to an instance of an object," it may be caused by a corrupted installation, missing dependencies, or system conflicts.
Since you've already tried installing it from both the Microsoft Store and the official website without success, you should follow a structured approach to resolve the issue. First, ensure that your system meets the minimum requirements, including Windows 10/11 (64-bit), .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later, and at least 4GB RAM. Next, try launching Power BI in Safe Mode by running msconfig, enabling Safe boot → Minimal, and restarting your PC to see if it works without conflicts. If that doesn’t help, clear the Power BI cache and user settings by navigating to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop Store App, deleting the Cache and User folders, and then restarting the application.
