Hi,
After installing Power BI from MicrosoftStor I tried many times to start the Power BI but it does not start. After reading some suggestions, I deleted it and downloaded it from the Microsoft website but the same problem happened again ( the power BI does not launch) even I run it as administrator. The error message I got was "Something went wrong object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Hi @MOH3PC ,
If Power BI does not start and displays the error "Something went wrong: Object reference not set to an instance of an object," it may be caused by a corrupted installation, missing dependencies, or system conflicts.
Since you've already tried installing it from both the Microsoft Store and the official website without success, you should follow a structured approach to resolve the issue. First, ensure that your system meets the minimum requirements, including Windows 10/11 (64-bit), .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later, and at least 4GB RAM. Next, try launching Power BI in Safe Mode by running msconfig, enabling Safe boot → Minimal, and restarting your PC to see if it works without conflicts. If that doesn’t help, clear the Power BI cache and user settings by navigating to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop Store App, deleting the Cache and User folders, and then restarting the application. If Power BI still fails to launch, perform a full uninstall and reinstall by using a third-party uninstaller like Revo Uninstaller to remove any leftover registry entries before downloading and installing Power BI again.
Additionally, ensure that Windows is fully updated, check if your graphics drivers are up to date, and disable any third-party antivirus software that might be blocking Power BI from launching. If the issue persists, consider checking the Event Viewer (Windows Logs → Application) for specific error messages and submitting a report to Microsoft Support.

Hi @MOH3PC
What I would recommend doing is chatting to your local administrator for your PC to see if it is up to date and has the latest software installed as well as it meets the minimum requirements to install power BI desktop. Get Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
