Power bi app shows Something went wrong
Hi everyone, I need some help.
I’ve built a Power BI app in a workspace that has a Premium Per User (PPU) license, and I’ve set the app access to Entire Organization.
I created the app using Account A, but when I try to install or open it using Account B (for testing), I get an error message.
Can someone explain why this is happening and how to fix it?
Hi govind_021 ,
Thanks for confirming both accounts have PPU licenses. Even with PPU, this error can occur because of access permissions rather than licensing.
Please check the following.
1. When publishing, confirm Account B is included in the Audience. Sometimes, even with “Entire Organization” selected, some users may be excluded due to tenant or security settings.
2. Account B needs at least Viewer access to the workspace or Build permission on the dataset. Without this, the app may install, but the report won’t open.
3. The error indicates the content is in the India Central region. If Account B’s tenant has restrictions for that region, it may prevent the report from loading.
Also, try sharing the direct app Open/Install link with Account B to see if that works, rather than using the Apps tab.
Please check these points and let me know what you find.
