Power Bi sign in pop up disappears after I press 'continue'

Hi,

I am on the latest version of power bi desktop. It asks me to sign in but as soon as I press 'continue' the sign in window disappears and nothing else happens, there are no error messages and according to my windows activity, I have signed into power bi successfully but I am unable to publish anything out to the power bi web service as it's saying i need to sign in first:

Leaving this link here, after some of the solutions on this thread didnt work for me this one website helped me try all possible solutions.

If you are someone trying to setup an RDP yourself and dont have an IT team to refer to, you need to add the crucial websites to your firewall's accepted (for me it was website exceptions) websites for it to let you sign in.

If I understand correctly, the issue is that you were unable to sign in and couldn’t publish anything to the power bi service. Please try the following methods and check if they can solve your problem:

1.Check that the sign in account is correct.

2.Go to File > Options and settings > Options > Diagnostics and select Enable tracing. View the diagnostic information.

3.Try to use the November 2023 to see if the issue exists.

Try to uninstall Power BI desktop and reinstall it again.
