Power Bi Report Visuals are not refreshing, but the Semantic model shows the latest data
- 1 year ago
Hi Sreejisha
The issue of visuals not showing updated data after refreshing is likely due to cached data or inconsistencies in the report. Here's how to fix and prevent it:
Fix the Current Issue
- Refresh Visuals: Right-click affected visuals and choose "Refresh visuals" from the menu.
- Clear Cache: Go to File > Options and Settings > Options > Global > Data Load > Clear Cache, then refresh the report.
- Recreate Visuals: If needed, delete and recreate problematic visuals on the same page instead of copying them to a new one.
Prevent Future Issues
- After updating the semantic model, ensure the new schema is fully synchronized with the report by republishing and refreshing the dataset.
- Validate relationships in the semantic model to avoid broken dependencies.
- Use DirectQuery Diagnostics to ensure the visuals query the updated semantic model.
These steps should resolve the issue and help you avoid similar problems in the future.
