Power Bi Pro and Power Bi Desktop

If you have a Microsoft account, that is supposed to be an email address which you use to login to Power BI Service: https://app.powerbi.com/.

From PBI DeskTop, you should be able to log in without any issue. Please share the error message that you are getting.

I'm a little confused about your description... As Fowmy  said, If you have a Microsoft account, that is supposed to be an email address ,then you could use it to log in Power bi Desktop.

It may be related to the environment, proxy and many other factors.
