Hello everyone,
very quick question but something that is bugging me. I'm on a free trial of Power BI Pro license.
However, why is it if I look at the license type, it is showing Free Account instead of Power BI Pro? Attached screenshot below.
Thank you!
Hi @Sax
That is correct because you have a trial license which is being applied to your free account.
Once you buy a Power BI Pro license then your license type would change.
Thanks @GilbertQ - I'm arguing though that as I'm under a Power BI Pro license, however temporarily for the length of the trial, the license type should correctly state Power BI Pro. It shouldn't matter if I'm paying or not.
By the same argument, assuming I'm on a paid Pro license and a get a free trial for a Premium. If this is the case, license type should state the one I'm being replaced with for the lenght of the trial (Premium) and not the one being replaced (Pro).
If they want to discern between paying and not paying custumers, they could state something like Power BI Pro free trial but as it is, it's cumbersome and factually incorrect.
