Power Bi App audience management
I have the following situation: I created an application with a series of reports that are in a client's workspace, and all of them are shared with an account that has a Pro license from the client.
I need to create another audience that can only see 2 reports and not all of them. This is for a sales department only, and they shouldn't be able to see the rest of the reports. To achieve this, I plan to create the new audience "Sales".
Is it necessary for the client to purchase another license to have a separate audience, or is there a possibility that with the current license, they can create another user for the sales department without needing to pay for 2 licenses? Thank you very much.
Hi RamiSansebas
There's no relationship between audiences and licenses, for a user to consume a report in an App and none Premium environment he will need a license regardless on Audiences.
Best practices is to use security groups and then add those 2 reports to new audience(hide the rest) and assign the security group to the audience.
