Power BI workspace limits
Hi Anonymous,
Please refer to the online document. The workspace allows only maximum of 200 datasets to be published with in it. This limit of 200 includes the combination of datasets and reports together. Also there are some workarounds.
- Flush out the unwanted/unused dataset from the workspace.
- Create another workspace and use it particularly for large datasets.
- You can also use the Get Data method to import local files into Power BI Service by keeping the PBIX files into OneDrive or any local folder or any other Power BI supportable data source locations.
Regards,
Frank
I found some links where developers said that only 200 reports are allowed to be created. e.g. Check this one: Max Report Limit PowerBI
Is this the case? I could not find any official documentation regarding this.

It seems like the limit has been increased to 1000.
[Edit]: The official Microsoft documentation mentions:- Workspaces can contain a maximum of 1,000 datasets, or 1,000 reports per dataset.
- A person with a Power BI Pro license can be a member of a maximum 1,000 workspaces.

Hi Anonymous,
Does that make sense? If so, kindly mark my answer as a solution to close the case.
