Hi laasy19,

Please connect to your SharePoint 2010 list using  the “Get Data->Other->SharePoint list” entry in Power BI Desktop, then create your reports, publish your Power BI Desktop file to Service.  When you configure personal gateway, could you please post detailed error message and the screenshot about your scenario?


Additionally, you can install and configure on-premises gateway following the instructions in this official article, then add your SharePoint data source under the registered gateway and use on-premises gateway to refresh your dataset.

    Hi laasy19,

    Are you able to directly sign in app.powerbi.com using your account? Do you have a Power BI free account or Power BI pro account? In addition, please post the full error message in gateway setup log.

        Hi laasy19,

        Could you please post gateway setup log? Also try to install and condigure on-premises gateway, then check if you get any issues.
