Power BI with Git. Is Visual Studio code mandatory?

I have this same issue.

It looks like the issue occrus only with Custom Visuals. I have multiple reports that I am converting to pbip files and loading into an ADO repo that is connected to my PBI workspace. The reports that do not use custom visuals have had no problems. However, any report with custom visuals run into this issue.

 

I can see the CustomVisuals folder in my .Report directory:

 

and I see all the custom visual files within that folder:

It seems like when syncing with PBI workspace, it is unable to locate the files in the /CustomVisuals/

Rui and I looked into our one further and it turned out the culprit is the Power Automate visual.  It was originally a custom visual but was brought into Power BI as a standard visual. Something about that has caused a problem.  We will need to wait for a fix to be deployed along with a Power BI Desktop update.  I haven't tried the latest version, so i'm unsure if the fix is there yet.
