Power BI was unable to read the application metadata

For the past two weeks, I've been experiencing intermittent access issues with Power BI using my organizational account. When attempting to access Power BI Service or Power BI Desktop, I encounter an error message stating
"Power BI was unable to read the application metadata."

Details:

Frequency: This issue has occurred 3-4 times in the past 3 weeks.
Duration: Each occurrence lasts approximately 5-8 hours before resolving itself.
Impact: These interruptions significantly hinder my work.
Account Specificity: The error only occurs with my organizational account. Logging in with other credentials allows me to access Power BI without problems. However, only I am facing this issue in my organization.

Troubleshooting Attempts:
1. Cleared my browser cache.
2. Tried accessing Power BI Service using different web browsers.
3. Restarted my computer.

However, the issue persists. I read a lot of threads regarding the same issue but couldn't find a solution. Does anyone have suggestions for a fix? Or any knowledge on what's causing this issue?

Hi @tabina ,

I checked the threads and found that this problem occurs intermittently, but then resolves itself after a while. It's very confusing. This could be a sudden server problem.

You can try the following steps:

1.Whitelisting Power BI Links/Domains

2.If using a zScaler proxy/firewall, disable Power BI-related SSL checks

If you have a Pro license you can open a Pro ticket at

Power Platform admin center (microsoft.com)

If you get a solution, you can come back here and share it with the community, as the problem is puzzling.
