Power BI subscription

Hello Everyone, 

I'm an individual BI developer, and I'm trying to find the best subscription for my needs. I want the option to use Notebook SQL, Python, SSIS, Power BI, and store my work in the cloud.

I need it for personal use and as a freelance developer. I don't require a large capacity or extensive storage, specifically.

There are too many options, and I'm having difficulty understanding which subscription will provide me with these options.

    Hi. Let's see. First of all, you are looking for end to end data projects at cloud, I don't think there is one single subscription for all generally available, you could use Fabric Preview as a single tool for the development, but even that one will require at least 2 licenses. Alternatives:

    - Azure subscription + Power Bi Pro: you can create a company at Azure to build your own Tenant and accounts. Create a subscription. Of course you may use a credit card. Then you can just purchase or turn on or create Resources as you may need for solutions, like Data Factory for Data Integration, Synapse or Lake for single source of truth. Then you can create Databricks for notebooks or use them inside Synapse.

    - Fabric License + PowerBi Pro: Fabric is the new end to end SaaS from Microsoft for data solutions. It will let you use many tools (integrations, notebooks, powerbi, etc) in a single platform. You can purchase like powerbi pro at office with delimited price for month or you can use Azure to create the resource in there (the adventage with this last one is that you can turn it off to save money).

    I would say think about getting rid of SSIS. You kind of can run an instance inside Data Factory, but there are way better integrations tools at the cloud.

    I hope some of that make sense.

    P/D As a developer myself all of that is for you. If you are selling services the customers should pay for their resources at Azure or PowerBi Cloud.
