Power BI (source) to refresh sharepoint list (target) - only new records and updated records

Hello,

I have a sharepoint (SP) list that is being fed by a Power BI (PBI) report - source (using power automate). However, I need the refresh from power bi to sharepoint to only refresh with new records and not duplicate the entire report again.

For example, if day 1 push from PBI to SP was 1000 records, when it pushes the report the next day I am getting another 1000 records which are duplicates of the previous day and so forth and so forth.

What I need is the automated daily refresh to only update new records...any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi @Slandstrom

I would suggest looking at how you export the data using power automates and possibly put in a date filter to only export data past a certain date.

To expand on that

- in your flow get the max modified date from the Sharepoint list

- then run a DAX query against the dataset to fetch rosw after that date

- delete list items contained in the query results (ie these are the changes)

- insert all query results into the list  (includes both new and changed entries)
