Power BI slowness and data refresh timeouts

This morning datasets on our Power BI service started throwing timeout errors for scheduled and ondemand refresh. During my troubleshooting I have also noticed the slowness with Power BI service whne I am on manage gateway page. It was not able to see my gateway for a while. From my gateway server I was always seeing the status as connected. Later the gateway showed up as online but the data refresh timedout. With a support case opened we tried enabling the HTTPS mode on and off and the refresh started working. Is there some issue with power bi service in Aus southeast region? Anything that may have caused this and can be avoided in future?

    Hi there

    I have been using reports and data refreshes today without any issues.

    What was the error you were getting when trying to refresh your data?
    This would be an indication if it was caused by the Power BI Service, or possibly from your data source?

    Also have you got the latest version of the On-Premise Data Gateway installed?

    There could be error messages. Can you share them? The ones with Activity ID, etc.
