Power BI service to AWS Redshift

Hi,

When connecting to Redshift from PBI Desktop we use a VPN, no connection issues there.
When in Power BI Service we set up a dataflow (gen-1), we can reach and refresh data from AWS Redshift.
When in Power BI Service we want to setup datasource credentials we get this error:
ODBC: ERROR [08S01] [Microsoft][Amazon Redshift] (10) Error occurred while trying to connect: [SQLState 08S01] timeout expired

Our data is stored on: Europa - west (Nederland), we have whitelisted the IP range from the official source; https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56519

including the list below:
"name": "PowerBI.WestEurope",
"id": "PowerBI.WestEurope",

and the list below:
"name": "PowerQueryOnline.WestEurope",
"id": "PowerQueryOnline.WestEurope",
"name": "AzureCloud.westeurope",
"id": "AzureCloud.westeurope",
possibly the reason why the dataflow works?

Anyone had a similar issue and a fix?

    You mentioned whitelisting the Power BI Service IP ranges from Microsoft's official list.Ensure that these IPs align with the region of your Power BI Service workspace (West Europe).

    Since Power BI Service doesn’t support your local VPN, you can set up an On-Premises Data Gateway to bridge the connection between Power BI Service and Redshift.

    Install and configure the gateway on a machine that has VPN access to Redshift, and make sure the data source credentials in Power BI Service are set to use the gateway.
    If these steps don’t resolve the issue, consider consulting your AWS administrator to determine if Redshift requires a private connection for external access.
