Power BI service cannot handle changes in data

Hey,

I have an published app. The underlying data had a change made (one column name changed). This means that power BI service cannot update the data, although the specific column isn't used in any functions/visuals etc. I cannot remove the data and reupload it because it is linked to an app. The only way for me is to remove everything and reupload. This will probably cause all of the links to break (I have provided URLs for certain bookmarks). 

This is absolutely ridiculous. Shame on you MS.
