We have installed SQL 2017(vNext CTP 2) on a vm, with SSRS and SSAS tabular on the same machine. I created a Power BI report using Power BI Desktop (RS) version with live SSAS connection as data source and uploaded the file on the report manager. When I click on a power BI report, it doesn't open it in browser and ask me to Open/Save file locally.
Is there a specific step that would allow the report to view in browser?

Got the answer from Adam (Guy in a cube) to my question I asked on YouTube.
We talk about this in a video coming out tomorrow. You can't use SSRS that comes with the SQL CTP. You have to get the standalone preview. The one that comes with the CTP does not include the Power BI bits in it. I thought we were pulling it from CTP 2.0, but I guess that didn't happen. Be sure to check the link for the January 2017 preview and install the standalone server from that. That should get you going.

Thanks for the info. I will go back and install the "January 2017 Technical Preview of Power BI reports in SQL Server Reporting Services" https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=839351
It just seems like vNext CTP 2.0 was fully functional.
It had the [+ New] Power BI Report drop down and a prompt for installation of Report Services version of Power BI Desktop.
When saving to SSRS was successful the "Take me there" link worked, but the Power BI report returned a 404 error. I will check out the January version. Hopefully the next CTP or RC will have everything up and running.
Yeah. Adam confirmed it in a next video he posted. They were supposed to remove the RS component off the vNext installation but they didn't and that caused all the confusion.

We reinstalled vNext CTP 2 minus the RS and then installed January RS update afterwards. Side by side installation didn't work.
