Power BI paginated reports change delimiter for CSV-export

Hello,

in europe we use comma als sperator for decimals. By export Data to CSV with comma as seperator the data gets a mess.

In SSRS-Server it was possible to create / change the render extension in the config file to semicolon as Field-Delimiter for CSV

is there any way to change this in Power BI Service?

I want to export csv with semicolon in a subscription so any type of url manipultion doesn't work for me.

In the documentation for "Power BI Report Builder" there is an article, which describes a way to change the delimiter by changing the device information Settings.  Is it possible to add this in the report xml it self or is it more like change the config file in the report Server,  so i cannot to this in Power Bi Service?

thanks for your help

Benedikt

Hi, @Benedikt_Sch

You're right, currently only delimiter modification via SSRS-Server is supported, for details:

CSV device information settings for Power BI paginated reports - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Export a paginated report to a CSV file - Microsoft Report Builder & Power BI Report Builder | Micro...

If you would like to suggest feature improvements, you may  vote the idea and comment here to improve this feature. It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Hi @v-tianyich-msft ,

thank you for your reply. In Microsoft Fabric Ideas there are a lot similar post for the same idea. Is it possible to consolidate these posts and upvotes? Keyword for my search "csv delimiter" and regional setting" this would walk hand in hand i think. There are few "european" or non USA things that would be covered by fixing this. e.g. CSV-Delimiter ";" , Week starting on Monday, decimal point = "," and so on. In Total there are tounds of votes and posts since 2017. It qould be great to sum up thes topics and review it.

Best Regards,

Benedikt
