Power BI on premise installation

I am interested in understanding Power BI on-premise installation scope and the pricing model. I understand for on premise installation SSRS 2016 is required. Has there been any final confirmation on the production ready Power BI on premise release date? does the Technical preview work on older versions of SSRS?. Please advise.
