Power BI not Not Really Updating PWA Data
We pull data from the Project Web App (PWA), and usually everything is fine. But we have one report where we have the failure mode of Power BI saying it refreshed the data when it didn't. The funny thing is that if we change the query just a little (e.g., add or remove a filter in the Power Query Editor), the data does refresh. We use that as a workaround to kind of kick the machine to get it working, but it's not a good long term solution.
Any idea what causes this failure mode and what we can do to get things to "just work"?

Hi Anonymous ,
Please check.
Power Query Editor -> Query Settings -> Filtered Rows.
Is there a filtered rows step? If so, please delete this step.
You can also select all for each field.
If this doesn't work for you or I misunderstand your needs, please consider sharing more details about it.

It's not a filtering issue. Here's an example of the problem I have:
- I have a set of information from the Project Web App (PWA) in a Power BI report. Call it 'Yesterday's Data.'
- I refresh the data set to get the new data. Call that 'Today's Data.'
- The refresh routine goes through the motion of running.
- The data displayed after the refresh is still 'Yesterday's Data.'
Here's the funny thing. If I change any line in that query (e.g., change the spelling of a variable), the refresh imposed after that act will conclude with displaying 'Today's Data.'
It almost feels like a time-out issue.
