Power BI embeded report : export to pdf does not load into edge

Dear all,

I would need some help in order to solve the following problem :

-We have embeded a power BI reports in Dynamics 365 (CRM), on the "account" view and using the "solution integration" method. (upload of solution in power apps.

The report shows correctly but when we click on "export to pdf" the process is running until the message " your PDF is ready and can be downloaded" but Edge or Firefox are not loading the file in download folder.

When I log out and access the report in power BI, then the export to pdf works and Edge is loading the file in the dowloads folder as any file downloaded from the web.

Is anybody has already faced this issue ? Is there an autorization object to set up ? Ac specific customizing ? An additional licence ?

Best regards

Yann

Many thanks for your answer, after investigating we found out that this was working on IOS / Safari and MacOS / Safari but not in MacOS/Chrome.

We found that this was caused by new HTML5 policy called "sandbox attributes" that apply to edge and Chrome and not to Safari.

We have opened a ticket to Microsoft but with no answer so far.

Hi, @Yann33

Based on the retrieved documents, there are several possible causes for the issue you are experiencing with exporting a Power BI report to PDF from Dynamics 365.

One possible cause is that the report is an embedded report, which can cause issues with downloading the report. If this is the case, you may need to include the original report as part of the application for the export function to download correctly.

Another possible cause is that there may be a problem with the browser settings or the download folder settings. You can try clearing the browser cache and cookies, or changing the download folder settings in the browser.

It is also possible that there may be a problem with the Power BI service itself. You can check the Power BI service status page to see if there are any known issues or outages.
