Power BI embedded - Report on workspace embedded with dataset on a different workspace

Hi there,

I have received different outlooks from different people on this. What I would like to know, is that if it is possible to have published a Report on an embedded workspace, with a dataset that lives on myworkspace (or another for that matter).

The goal is to have the dataset refreshed outside the embedded workspace avoiding additional costs from refresh.

Hi @campelliann ,

As of now there is no official documentation that restricts embedding of reports created based on different datasets.

There is no limitation on embedding reports from live connection to dataset, but if it is from direct query to live connection, a limitation is mentioned in the following text：
