Hello,
I have a report based on SQL server hosted on Azure. After publishing the report trying to add a vnet gateway for scheduling the dataset. However, It was throwing some unknown error while trying to assign the gateway. Later, found the datasource (SQL server) status is showing offline even though it was active and could run queries.
Could anyone please help me on this ?
Thanks!

Hi @GilbertQ ,
Thanks for your reply. This is resolved now.
Not exactly sure what went wrong but my best guess is that the issue was with Gateway setup(Authentcation Method).
Cheers!

Hi @KPRL
Are you using Azure SQL Database?
if you are you should then be able to connect without a VNET Gateway.
Please make sure that you follow the steps for setting up the VNET Gateway here make sure that you are using Power BI Premium or Power BI Premium Per user workspaces: Use virtual network (VNet) data gateway and data sources in Power BI | Microsoft Learn
