Power BI dataset refresh error
Hi All,
I am trying to refresh the below dataset. But the refresh failed and giving unknown error as shown in the below screenshot.
Can any one help to resolve this issue?

Hi. There are a lot of good posts and videos about downsizing a Power Bi Dataset. I think there are three very important tips that might help a lot:
- Do data model: building a good star schema instead of loading tables is an amazing way to start a model with it's minimun size.
- Remove unnecessary columns: keeping your model with the data you need is one of the best ways to maintain it the smaller you can.
- Turn auto datetime off: turning of this power bi desktop feature can reduce a lot the size of the model because it creates a hidden table for each date or datetime column in the model. You should build and work with your own date/calendar table.

Hi. I think the first best way to know if the dataset is ok, is refreshing it from Desktop. Open the file and refresh it. If everything is ok there and Service is still failing then it might be a failure in the report in service. I have seen this before. It's like the report is broken and it's name with a cache. In order to fix this you can change the pbix file name and publish it back. That should fix it for the new dataset. The only issue is that if you have shared the other report one by one, you might need to do it again.

I have tried to rename the pbix file and published in Power BI service and scheduled the refresh as you suggested. But this time I am facing another error as shown in below screenshot.
Any suggetions to break up the dataset into smaller datasets?
