Power BI dashboards stopped displaying on Smart TV browser after working fine before

I’ve been using my Smart TV to view Power BI dashboards with no issues for a while, but recently they’ve stopped displaying when I try to open them in the TV’s browser. I’ve tested with public Power BI links, web links, and even dashboards from external accounts (outside my organization), but nothing works.

Here’s what we’ve tried so far:

  • The TV has Java enabled.
  • Cleared the browser cache and cookies.
  • Wireless casting from my phone works fine, as does connecting via HDMI, so the dashboards display perfectly on the TV when using these methods.

This seems to be an issue with the TV's browser or something internal, as everything else works well. Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what might be causing this?

Any help would be appreciated!

Hello @felipelopxs

The issue is that the operating system of some televisions [LG, Samsung] is no longer compatible with Power BI. I recommend contacting the manufacturer of your television. In our case, for LG screens, a new version of the OS that supports Power BI is currently being developed.

Hi @Fabian_v

Is it possible to update the tvs browser to a browser such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox, as I'm sure that would then work?
