Power BI connector for Oracle Analytics Cloud in Power BI Premium

Hey,

I have seen that the connector for Oracle Analytics Cloud in Power BI is in preview and supports MS Power BI Desktop, but not the Power BI Pro or Premium versions. Will it be available in those versions too in the future? Any timeline on this?

Thank you!

Hi , @Julli

Based on my query and research on the Power BI Roadmaps for the new feature "Oracle Analytics Cloud connector" in the Power BI offical documentation about the new features plan in 2023, for now there's no new plan announcement about the "Oracle Analytics Cloud connector", but you can keep monitoring on the update for this official documentation:

What's more, here's the blog website for the Power BI new features plan, you can also subscribe it and monitor if there's new blog published for new planned feature in the feature:

Hi @Julli

You can try BI Publisher Connector. It directly connects Power BI to Oracle database via OTBI data models (physical layers of OAC/OAS/OBIEE instances and Oracle Fusion Cloud database and ).

BI Publisher Connector is available for all Power BI versions, including Pro and Premium. It also supports Scheduled Refresh of your data via the On-premise Gateway.

This means you dont have to struggle with Excel or SQL queries. All you have to do is install the tool, select the connector in Power BI & start visualizing data in minutes.

Similarly, its main product BI Connector connects Power BI to OBIEE, OAC, and OAS data. You can check this as well.

Some more benefits of both:

  • Hassle-free, one-time setup in mins
  • Automate in Power BI Service
  • Secure data communication (doesnt store data anywhere)

Hope this was helpful
