Power BI can't read metadata
Hi,
We want to use the paid version for our company but there's an error which prevents us to utilize the platform.
How to fix it?
Thanks,

Our organization is seeing this across multiple users, workspaces, and reports. We have a P1 Premium capacity and this is happening with content that has been published, in use, and stable for months and years. It is random, not reproducible, and seems to go away just as randomly. But it doesn't resolve fast enough to prevent user frustration and tickets.
The obnoxious part on this is that the error page is it's own separate page, so the typical "refresh the page" doesn't do anything besides refresh the error page.
We have noted the url for the error page indicates a message of "Token expired". I haven't been able to find much explanation for what token that might be or why we are seeing this error across multiple users and machines, or how to fix it.
We thought we found an issue with the Web Filters and that seemed to fix that batch of users that were complaining at that time. But we've had other users have the same problem since then.

Hi lewisbrave
Can you please let us know if this is when you are just logging into the Power BI Service or you have uploaded a PBIX?

Hi GilbertQ
This is happens when we're trying to log into the Power BI Service, all of them, by web, Teams and so on (it doesn't matter what kind of browser, the problem remains, even when we clear the cache, etc.)
Thanks,
Lewis Brave

Hi lewisbrave
What happens if you try and connect from a different computer, say from home where you have a different Internet connection? Does that work successfully?

New Update (01/24/2025): our TI team found a temp solution, we're using the desktop version, which means we can have acces to it, we can connect data, make transformations, models, and create reports but the problem remains, we can't utilize the Power BI service to publish it and so on. The web and "Teams Apps integration" don't work, which compromises our work since it's really important for our organization.

New Update (01/30/2025):
Now we got the Power BI Pro Plan and the problem remains, we'll try to contact the support again, we can't publish anything and the original problem with web and teams integration is still there.
Thanks,Lewis Brave
