Solution SpecialistIt's clearly mentioned that we can share the report with Microsoft 365 Group. Not sure why your team mentioned otherwise.

As suggested in the above doc, create a single workspace and publish your report to the newly created workspace. Once done, provide read access to your O365 group and then embed the report in your Teams Channel.
