Power BI Web version ignores decimals digits while uploading csv(dot as separator)

Power BI Web version ignores decimals digits while uploading csv(dot as separator).
At the same time it shows the result correctly on preview, but just cut everything after dot after uoploading.

Sum also wrong comparing to excel, so it just cut off the decimals.
It's power BI WEB version, not the desktop one

Thanks for ibarrau's concern about this issue.

Hi, @kler_93

Based on your description and the image display it is clear that the data in your source CSV file is a decimal number. However, when you uploaded the CSV file to Power BI Service to make a report, the data was automatically rounded and the value after the decimal point was lost.

After Power BI Service connects to the CSV data source, it will jump to the report making screen, when we drag the field to the field position in visual, you can find the place as below:

Check if the data type is incorrect. Then set the data type to a decimal number and you should get the correct value for the final total:

I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

@Anonymous @ibarrau do you have any ideas what could be wrong?

It does not help unfortunately, as the numbers does not change, seems like it cuts off the decimals on importing process. I mean it shows the decimals if I change the format, but the value itself is same as it was. So, it's not rounding, as I wrote it cuts off the decimals, thus all the data imported is not correct

Hi. As you are showing in the first picture. It's decimal numbers at the data model. When you drag the field to the canvas you pick the visual and modify the formatting. You can prevent or add numbers at the formatting settings of the values. In there you can make decimals numbers not showing decimales and that will round automatically. Try changing that to check the values.

I hope that helps,
