Hello,
I have data on AWS S3. These data is csv or parquet format.
I wish to use Power BI Web application to vizualise these data. I precise I can not use Power BI Desktop.
I have not found any option in "My workspace > Datasets > Create Dataset > "Services Get" to access data located in AWS S3.
Can you indicate me how to directly connect to these AWS S3 data ?
Thanks in advance.
Regards

@Anonymous,
It is not possible to directly connect to AWS S3 without Power BI Desktop. There are two methods for you connecting to the data source.
1. Connect to AWS S3 using ODBC data source as described in this blog or directly call AWS S3 api in Power BI web connector. Create report in Power BI Desktop and publish it to Power BI Service.
2.Create Power BI service content pack following the guide in this article, Power BI Desktop is also required.

Hi,
I used a python script in Power BI. See my suggestion at:

Hope it helps.

I've configured a Web connection and set the URL to the S3 Object URL... Is there anything wrong with this method? I'm curious to why you didn't mention it?
Hi DDelport
I tried web connection which you have mentioned. But PBI complains it can't read S3 bucket. Could you please elaborate your steps.
Thank you!
