Power BI Services - Date Format dd/mm/yyyy needed for Parameters

I have changed all my browser settings to use English (Australia) to have the date format of dd/mm/yyyy.

My PC Windows display language is also set to use English (Australia).

When I open my Paginated Report in Report Builder the date parameters does show it in format dd/mm/yyyy, but as soon as I view it in Power BI Services it shows it as mm/dd/yyyy

The Language Setting in Power BI services is set to: Default (browser language)

What am I missing here?

Edit: I am using Power BI Paginated Reports (Not Power BI)

Hi @epennekan1234 ,

Report builder will format date parameters (using date picker or combo box) using system locale running on the client's machine.
Service only formats date parameters when they use the date picker, but that only happens because the date picker component we use takes locale into consideration, the server returns all dates formatted in neutral (en-US) culture.
When a date parameter is rendered as combo box in service we treat it as text and do no further localization of it.
It is an issue but it is by design.

Problem has gone away for us. Curious if the same for you. I'm hopeful it was my ticket that got it there but haven't heard either way from MS support. Imagine they won't know how it was fixed. Hope so though.

Yip, fixed for me as well!

Hi @epennekan1234 ,

You can try setting a regional date type on Power Query (Transform data or quey editor menu) .

Or change the date format under desktop modeling (not in the query editor) to dd/mm/yyyy.

I am not using Power BI, using Power BI Paginated Reports (SSRS) hosted in Power BI Services.
