Power BI Service visuals different than Power BI Desktop after a browser refresh

    I solved my own problem.

    The root of the issue was that we use a self hosted Gateway through which the refresh is scheduled. Thus PBI Service uses the Gateway to refresh the dataset when a report is published. The Gateway server had its region set to Pacific Standard Time while the report was created on a system with the region set to Central European Time. Setting the Gateway server region to Central European Time fixed the issue.
