My data is from Kobo Toolkit which requires a Username and Password to use

yes, but how are you supposed to provide them?  Directly as part of the API call, or encapsulated in the header?  What does the Kobo documentation say?

    When I removed the username and password it worked. It's just that my credentials remain unverified but it picks the data. Thank you though.
