Helper VPower BI Service in slow motion?
I was wondering if there was a setting I could change or what I could do to stop Power BI from making my computer run so slow?
Desktop version works fine, but once I jump on Service everything stops working. I click, 5 seconds go by before it registers. I try to drag something from feild pane to visualization panel, it either never works or takes forever. Etc, etc, etc.
I'd like to think I am a patient person but there has to be something wrong... but it is almost impossible to use! I tried restarting my computer but that did not help.
Please tell me there is some sort of fix--I have restarted my report 3 times now but keep getting so frustrated :(

Can you please explain more detail information about your scenario? (e.g. records amount, datasource type, connection mode, where datasource hosted...) If your data model contain huge amount records or complex relationships, it will require a few time to apply changes on visualization.

sy898661Also when I try adjusting the size of a visual, it ignores what I put and makes it larger and never stays where I put it???
I am getting so frustrated I might cry.

Hi Anonymous thanks for replying!
I was finally able to download the pbix file and realized theres at least 130,000+ records being pulled from Excel files on Sharepoint as well as Oracle (I think!). I don't know if thats a lot for PBI but I'm guessing thats why it was so slow?
Either way, I still haven't been able to get past adding 3 cards on to a report without giving up out of frustration. Maybe one day it will magically start running smoothly again!
