Power BI Service does not show the visualisation pane for both create / edit reports

I'm just noticed today, that when I either edit or create a new report within Power BI Service the visualisation pane is blanked out, it's just grey.  I can create a visual by dragging a field onto the canvas but I can't choose which visual I want, format it etc. 

I have access rights as Admin to our Portal and also all workspaces.

Any suggestions!
