Power BI Service displays numbered lists incorrectly
In the Power BI desktop my numbered / nested list appears correctly (screenshot 1). However, once the report is uploaded to the PBI service the list gets a little wonky (see screenshot 2). If I Edit the report in the PBI service I can also see the numbered list normally (screenshot 1). Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Thanks for confirming its not just on my machine! I've connected with an MS engineer my work has a contract with to see if they have any solutions. Will update once I hear more.
Edit: Have spoken with MS. Confirmed that this is an error due to the JavaScript library power BI uses. There is no timeline for a fix.

Hi @calumt
Is it posssible for an actual screenshot to see the error?
Also could I ask why the numbering?
And finally you could look at trying to use a matrix to get the numbers to fall in line as expected?

Unfortunately I can't share a screenshot of the actual text as it contains sensitive information.
The numbering is simply used to break up the list into different sections (eg how is your population determined). A matrix wouldn't work in this context as the tab the error occurs on needs to contain all text in a text box.

Could you replicate on a report without sensitive information, you to illustrate the issue you're encountering? It could be related to a specific visual, etc...
When rendering in the service differently, I tend to think of local settings that influence the browser. Do you experience this in the same way on different browsers?
Long shot, but perhaps you can change in app.powerbi.com / settings / general the display language. Not sure if the identation is part of some local formatting, but quick to try.

Have attached a couple screenshots below. I've tried to view in Firefox and Chrome and both show the issue. I'll try changing the display language as you noted and will see if that helps.

Is this a plane text box, or a specific control?

I was able to replicate this, and this seems more like a bug in the text box component. I'll try some different settings that could interfere, but doesn't look normal behavior

They've confirmed that this is indeed a bug in the PBI Service. No resolution at this time but have logged a support ticket.
