Power BI Service & Azure Analysis Services : Tabular or Multidimensional model ?

Hello everyone,

I am asking this question :

For LiveConnect, which Azure Analysis Services model is better for Power BI Service ? And why ?

- Tabular

- Multidimensional

Thank you,

@Anonymous If it is an option to choose which AS you are going to build and live connect to I would recommend doing it in Tabular. All new development, Azure, Power BI, Excel all use Tabular. There are also some features that you could implement in MD that aren't supported in Power BI and you would have to ensure the cube you build didn't use those. I've always had great performance using live connect against SSAS Tabular, its a solid solution.
